In the not-too-distant future, forensic science reveals undeniable proof of the biblical Exodus. At an underwater site in the Gulf of Aqaba lie curious coral anomalies strongly suggesting the 3500-year-old remnants of Pharaoh's vanquished army have been discovered. A golden chariot wheel at the bottom of the gulf serves as a clear indication to Dr. Arne Karlstrom that he has pieced together an ancient biblical puzzle, a matrix of new and old information revealing the crossing site for the Hebrew exiles at a beach head on the Sinai Peninsula called Nuweiba.

Karlstrom knows his discoveries will have many enemies, for they provide a crystal clarity to a tale that is both politically and theologically explosive.

To finance his research, Karlstrom solicits the checkbook of Ben Kowalski, an impeached U.S. president. Kowalski is a man of uncommon intuition who sees an almost prophetic fulfillment in Karlstrom s research and agrees, as a man of faith, to fund an exploration to Nuweiba. What Kowalski's intuition cannot foresee are the dark forces set in motion when the true nature of the mission to Nuweiba is mysteriously made known. In order to escape Egyptian assassins, Karlstrom's team is driven into their own personal Exodus in a hostile Saudi wilderness. It is here that further evidences of the Exodus and the true Mount Sinai are affirmed and revealed to the intrepid Swede.

Meanwhile, back home, it is Ben Kowalski who must execute a plan to save his friends and their dangerous payload from being forever lost in a hostile wilderness and, simultaneously, shepherd his estranged wife away from the fires of addiction and self-destruction.

Meanwhile, a master deception is being choreographed in Israel. The third incarnation of the Jewish temple becomes the stage for an illusion of biblical magnitude , an illusion Kowalski can debunk, but only if he succeeds in bringing Dr. Karlstrom's discoveries into the light of day.

While the story is fiction, it is based on a body of real-life research.
